Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

Bring your old receipt notices and forms (if any), two passport-sized photos of yourself, your DACA card and Social Security card to your appointment. During your appointment, we will provide an emergency same-day renewal. This means the attorney will prepare and mail your forms the same day as your appointment. 2nd day postage and tracking is included.
UPDATE: If Trump does not meet the federal judge's requirements by 07/25/2018, USCIS will be forced to begin accepting new DACA applications! On June 15, 2012, the Secretary of Homeland Security announced that certain people who came to the
United States as children and meet certain guidelines
may request Deferred Action ("DACA").
Deferred Action allows you to legally live and work in the United States, and it can be renewed every two years. However, it is not yet a path to citizenship or a green card. This is why immigration reform is still very important for Congress to pass.
Note: Minors do not accrue unlawful presence under
the INA. Therefore, it is very important that minors in
particular apply for Deferred Action before turning 18. This will make your ability to get a marriage or family-based green card much easier in the future, so do not delay in getting your Deferred Action work permit.

Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO APPLY FOR DEFERRED ACTION?
A: Everyone must pay a government a fee of $495. This fee can only be waived in very extreme circumstances. Our firm can process your Deferred Action case for you for a flat rate of $500. This fee does not include translation of any documents that are not in English, such as your birth certificate. Translation fees are $50 per page.
Q: WHAT IF I COMMITTED A JUVENILE CRIME?
A: Depending on the type of crime you may be approved for Deferred Action, but it is best to speak to an attorney before filing any paperwork.
Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY APPROVAL?
A: Current processing times are 3-10 months. Applicants who have no criminal history usually receive an approval within 120 days.
Q: WHAT ID CAN I USE TO GET INTO MY BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT?
A: You can use any photo ID, even if it is expired. A student ID or even an expired license or matricula will work, so long as your photo is on the ID.
Q: CAN I GET A DRIVER'S LICENSE AND SOCIAL SECURITY CARD?
A: Yes! After getting your DACA work permit, you can apply for a Social Security Card. Then, with your two cards, you can apply for a driver's license!
Q: CAN I HAVE AN ITIN NUMBER AND A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER?
A: No. You must contact the IRS to transfer your ITIN information to your new Social Security Number. Our firm can help you do this.
Q: DO I NEED TO REGISTER FOR SELECTIVE SERVICE?
A: All males ages 18 to 24 must register for selective service ("the draft"), even if you have no immigration status or do not have Deferred Action yet. Failing to register is a felony. You can register by visiting: www.sss.gov
Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SPEAK TO AN ATTORNEY?
A: We charge an intial consultation fee of $60.
